When you feel that something should happen but it is not happening, you are closer to your goal than you have ever been. That feeling is not a warning sign. It is not evidence that you chose the wrong path or that the effort was wasted. It is one of the most reliable signals that a breakthrough is building just below the surface.
The problem is that almost nobody can see it from the inside. And that is exactly when most people stop.
When You Feel That Something Should Happen But It Is Not Happening, You Are Closer to Your Goal Than You Think
That restless, tight, and frustrated feeling of knowing something is supposed to shift and watching it not shift yet is not comfortable. It was never going to be. But it is meaningful.
Think about water coming to a boil. For a long time nothing appears to be happening. The water just sits there absorbing heat, building energy, doing work that is completely invisible until the moment it is not. And then everything changes at once.
You are the water. The work you have been putting in is the heat. The fact that nothing visible has happened yet does not mean nothing is happening. It means the energy is still building. And when it tips, that is happening fast.
Stay in the pot.

The Feeling of Being Stuck Is Often the Last Stop Before the Breakthrough
When you feel that something should happen but it is not happening, you are closer to your goal precisely because that feeling only exists in people who are genuinely close enough to smell it.
People who quit early do not feel this. They feel disconnected, uninterested, or simply walk away without that specific tension of knowing the thing should be within reach. The fact that you can feel it, that you know something is supposed to happen here, is proof that you are in the right place at the right time doing the right work.
That feeling is proximity. It is your instincts telling you that the gap between where you are and where you want to be has never been smaller, even if your eyes cannot confirm it yet.
Trust what you feel.
Keep Moving. The Moment You Stop Is the Moment the Distance Grows Back
When you feel that something should happen but it is not happening, you are closer to your goal and the worst possible response is to slow down or stop.
Because stopping is the one thing that guarantees the breakthrough does not come. All the energy you have been building, all the work that has been accumulating quietly under the surface, needs you to keep showing up for it to complete the cycle. The moment you pull back is the moment the momentum begins to dissipate.
You do not have to move fast. You just have to keep moving. One more day of showing up. One more effort in the same direction. One more decision to trust the process even when the process feels invisible.
That is what separates the people who make it from the people who almost did.
Your breakthrough is not somewhere far away on the horizon. It is on the other side of the next step you are about to take.
Take it.
If this gave you what you needed today, pass it on to someone who is in the middle of it.
